Die Sängerin Luma mit ihrer außergewöhlichen und sinnlichen Stimme wird das Publikum verzaubern. Begleitet wird sie von einer Perkussionsgruppe unter der Leitung des Meisterperkussionisten Marivaldo Paim, der Direktor der Gruppe Ile Aiyé aus Salvador de Bahia. Sie werden Samba, Samba Reggae und Maracatu spielen. Und damit das Auge nicht zu kurz kommt, werden drei Tänzerinnen unter der Leitung von Ledjane Edelmann Santos, einer der besten Tänzerinnen und Choreographinnen ihrer Generation, auftreten.
The singer Luma with her exceptional and erotic voice will certainly enchant the audience. She is accompanied by a percussions group directed by the master percussionist Marivaldo Paim, head of the group Ilê Aiyê from Salvador de Bahia. They will be playing samba, samba reggae, and maracatú. Three female dancers will be supporting the performance – a feast for the eyes. The dancers are directed by Ledjane Edelmann Santos, one of the best dancers and choreographers of her generation.
Omar Pene ist neben Youssou N’Dour der wichtigste Sänger im Senegal. In seiner Heimat gilt er als Legende, wird von etlichen Afrikanern gar als wichtigster Sänger des Kontinents gesehen. Omar Pene und seine 1974 gegründete Band Super Diamono de Dakar stehen für scharfkantige Tanznummern im Mbalax-Stil sowie für politisch und sozial engagierte Texte. Deshalb gelten sie auch als Lieblingsband der “kleinen Leute” aus den Vorstädten. Pene trug mindestens ebenso sehr wie Youssou N’Dour zum Aufbruch der westafrikanischen Popmusik bei. Er ist mit seiner Band „Super Diamono de Dakar” einfach eine der besten Livebands und wird die Stimmung im Zelt zum Kochen bringen.
Apart from Youssou N'Dour, Omar Pene is Senegal’s most important singer. Regarded as a living legend in his country, he is even seen as the most important singer of the whole continent by some Africans. Omar Pene founded his band Super Diamono de Dakar in 1974. They stand for edgy dances in the mbalax style with lyrics clearly showing their political and social commitment. For that reason, Super Diamono de Dakar are the favourite band of “ordinary people” in the suburbs. Pene's contribution to the change of West African pop music was at least as significant as Youssou N'Dour’s contribution. Omar Pene and his band Super Diamono de Dakar are simply among the best live bands and will definitely heat up the audience.
