Südliches Afrika Initiative der Deutschen Wirtschaft - SAFRI
 Im Rahmen ihres Engagements für die Südliches Afrika Initiative der Deutschen Wirtschaft - SAFRI fördert die DaimlerChrysler AG das 19. Africa Festival.
SAFRI wirbt um größere Aufmerksamkeit deutscher Unternehmer für die vielfältigen Möglichkeiten der wirtschaftlichen Zusammenarbeit mit den Ländern des südlichen Afrikas. Dabei wird der Förderung des Tourismus eine besondere Rolle beigemessen, denn er hat ein großes Entwicklungspotenzial und schafft Arbeitsplätze für die lokale Bevölkerung.
Das Kennenlernen der Menschen und ihrer Kultur ist Voraussetzung für einen fruchtbaren Dialog zum Nutzen beider Seiten. Das Africa Festival trägt dazu bei, dass die in Deutschland nicht immer positive Wahrnehmung Afrikas durch die Darbietungen herausragender Künstler dieses Kontinents eine besondere Aufmerksamkeit und Anerkennung erfährt. Die Begeisterung des Publikums wird auch das Interesse an einem Besuch der Region wecken. Die Menschen Afrikas freuen sich darauf, Ihnen die einzigartigen Schönheiten ihrer Natur zeigen zu können.

Southern Africa Initiative of German Business - SAFRI
As part of its ongoing involvement in the Southern Africa Initiative of German Business - SAFRI, DaimlerChrysler AG sponsors the 19th Africa Festival.
SAFRI’s aim is to increase the awareness within the German business world of the many and diverse opportunities offered by economic co-operation with the countries of Southern Africa. Particular importance is attached to the promotion of tourism, since there is considerable potential for development, as well as the opportunity of creating employment for local communities.
Getting to know the people and their culture is a prerequisite for a fruitful and mutually beneficial dialogue. The Africa Festival, which features performances by some of the continent’s most outstanding artists, aims to help focus attention on Africa and to give recognition to a public image which in Germany has not always been wholly positive. An enthusiastic public response will also help to stimulate interest in visiting the region. The people of Africa look forward to being able to introduce you to the unique beauties of their natural world.
